Paper is a finite resource, there’s no denying that. Plus, we all know the impact plastic waste has on the environment. Plastic bags and packaging were originally introduced to save trees being cut down to produce the paper and card. At the time we probably didn’t envisage the long-term environmental impact plastic is now causing right across the globe. So, when it comes to packaging, we seem to be going full circle.
We all need to take responsibility for this and make changes. That’s why Frontier policies are only produced electronically. If paper must be used for something let’s do it only when it’s necessary. And leave as many trees as we can for trapping CO2 and retaining water run-off.
The design of the documentation has readability and brevity as key components. There shouldn’t be any need to produce paper copies of ours anyway.
Reducing paper waste doesn’t stop there. We operate a completely paperless office and recycle as much waste as we can.
We operate a flexible staffing approach to minimise commuting time and impact. Our office space uses only electrical heating sources and we are always searching for way to improve the energy efficiency.
Even small things when added together can add up to big impacts. Take responsibility, make changes and keep looking for improvements. That’s the Frontier way.
