Excellent for Flood Risk. Quick, easy and very open about what was and isn't included from the start from the quote. We live in a flood area and the other companies allowed us to go all the way through the processes before giving silly quotes or wouldnt insure us

Got a decent price including flood cover. The price went up when i added a few extras on the main site but still a good price compared to the big insurance companys, who just take advantage of unfortunate circumstances. Hopefully this will spur more insurance firms to give better prices!!!! Many thanks

Every insurer that offers home insurance in the UK must pay into the Flood Re Scheme. This Levy raises £180m every year that they use to cover the flood risks in home insurance policies.
Flood Re works with insurers behind the scenes. When you buy home insurance cover, we can choose to pass the flood risk element of your policy to them for a fixed price.
If you make a valid claim for flooding, Frontier will pay the claim. Later on, Flood Re reimburse Frontier from the Flood Re fund.
In short, you buy home insurance in the usual way. We cover the flood risk and that helps to keep your premiums down.
In the UK, hundreds of thousands of homes could be harder to insure because they’re at high risk of flooding. If your home is more likely to flood, then insurers may need to charge higher insurance premiums. Flood Re is here to help.
We offer customers our best price, every time. No haggling, quibbling or hidden costs. We’re compact on price without compromising on service.
We may ask for an initial set-up fee when you first purchase. This is to share some of the non-refundable costs incurred. It’s all included and shown in any price we quote. Thereafter, we don’t charge any fees to make changes, cancel or renew. You only pay for any additional premium due. You fully control the cover you buy.

Yes. Frontier works with specialist underwriters and can arrange cover for properties that may be located in areas with higher flood exposure. Each property is assessed individually and the terms offered will depend on the overall level of risk.
Flood risk is commonly associated with properties located near rivers, coastal areas, or places that experience surface water flooding. Risk levels can vary significantly even within the same postcode depending on elevation, drainage and local geography.
Many home insurance policies include flood as one of the insured perils, meaning damage caused by flooding may be covered if it results from a sudden and unexpected event. Frontier policies also include flood as a covered peril within the buildings and contents sections, subject to the policy wording and excesses.
Flood risk can be checked using online tools such as the Environment Agency flood map service or the equivalent services available in Scotland and Wales. By entering your postcode you can see potential risk from rivers, coastal flooding and surface water.
The cost depends on factors such as the property location, previous flood history, rebuild value, construction type and the level of cover selected. Properties in higher risk areas may require specialist underwriting and the premium will reflect the overall level of exposure.
Your first priority should always be safety. If it is safe to do so, take steps to prevent further damage and document the damage with photographs before starting any clean-up work. Insurers expect policyholders to take reasonable steps to minimise further loss.
Claims normally require evidence of the damage and details of what was affected. Photographs, videos and receipts for emergency expenses may be requested. For higher-value contents items you may also need to provide proof of ownership such as receipts or valuations.
Claims can be made online 24-7 with a dedicated UK based team ready to speak to you in your time of need.
